Yeah. Good times. I think I talked a little about Thanksgiving, but I forgot to post these awesome moments:

The Utah Human Race "turkey trot" Thanksgiving morning. I liked it, great way to start the day!
Christmas. Awesome! I love Christmas. I am really bad at keeping surprises (secrets are different, don't worry) so it was sooo hard for me to not tell Tracie about her Muse tickets. I'm stoked to go, I hear they put on one of the best shows out there. Tracie gave me a "moving out survival kit" that is pretty hilarious. Maybe I should post some tidbits. . .
"With only a probably gross and ignorant roommate as a friend, you may find yourself bored in your new house. . . ." --hot wheel cars.
"While not having a neighbor to get ready with in the mornings that takes all your stuff may seem like and advantage, we both know you are concerned with the upkeep of your good looks after you are gone. . . .merely take one look at this next present and you can swagger with confidence throughout the rest of the day. . ." --door mirror that says "what would Tracie say?".
"Now I know your biggest concern is not having a slave around. [editors note: this is true.] While this may seem daunting and even a reason to not move out, this will enable you to help yourself while not having to get up." --gopher tool, as seen on tv The clawwwww!
"I have something very important to address before I give this next present. Living by yourself, you may find things where you yourself initially put them. What does this mean? No one has been touching them, borrowing them, using them, taking them to school for dance company, or eating them. Take a minute to absorb that. I know, it's a big one. The first time you experience this awful even, you may start to hyperventilate and/or cry in complete and utter horror. You just need to fight past it, KK, I'm sorry. It's just another step of moving out. But the next present works in two ways. It A. is there to remind you to keep up your hygeine: I can't be there to constantly remind you like your old wife. And B. to compensate for all I have taken! I know it's been a blessing to be my host in this parasitic relationship, but it's time to end that. (I'll probably still be by every night to try and help you make the transition easier by taking things. You are welcome.)" --pads. the big package.
She's hilarious. So funny. She better come over every night. It really does make me sad that we won't be neighbors anymore.
I drew Erik and Kami's names, and made them a calendar with pictures of them. I won't lie, it's pretty awesome.

I also revisited the old days and sled down the hill with the kids! It was awesome! Sledding down the hill used to be the highlight of the winter. We would wait and wait and wait until there was enough snow so we didn't damage the grass. All the friends would come over with their "permission slips" from their parents so they wouldn't sue us when they broke their face and we would play forever! Well, this lasted maybe an hour. First Audrey went inside, after one run down the hill. Then Toria got cold. Brady stayed out with me until his little cheeks were red and he wanted some hot chocolate. It was great!

Brayden was super fearless and was ripping down the hill on the blue saucer for a while, but by the time I got my camera out there, he wouldn't even do it for a dollar. That's big time when you're five. I guess it kept taking him over a bump. It was cute, though.
And, finally, 2009 ended with a par-tay at Erik and Kami's. It was good times, very chill and relaxed. Oh yeah, I got a speeding ticket. On the way to the party. At 8 pm. Where the cops were waiting for drunks. Really? That early? I wouldn't know. This is bad, guys. And I have a lot of things that could have prevented it, and I would really really really like to blame it on the retarded train engineer that parked the train over 5600 west for 10 minutes, started moving and parked again with only FIVE CARS TO GO before it cleared the road. . . . 25 minutes. That's right. TWENTY-FIVE minutes. I know, who stays that long? Whatever. The bottom line is, Kathrin, lighten up on that gas pedal.
So. 2010. Pretty excited. So far, scheduled to close on the house on Wednesday, get keys Friday, and then we'll be moving in and finishing the basement all month long! I'm so excited. It's going to be a great year.
